Almond Blossom season flew by!!! Capturing the first peak that occurred this year the week of February 15th was stunning. The first two weeks are the best time to capture the beautiful blooms that appear like a snowy white backdrop. Waiting to the end, you see less flowering and snowy white backdrops. As for the time frame, capturing during the late afternoon towards Golden Hour brings a romantic vibe. I had a few sessions during Golden Hour and was obsessed with the lighting. It was such a beautiful time to capture. You have less direct sunlight and beautiful images. If Golden Hour didn't work out for some, the trees and the direction of the trees would hide the direct sunlight. Positioning is an essential key factor between noon and 3:00 pm. How you position away from the sun, images show no shadowing. As for the rain, thankfully it wasn't present and no rescheduling occurred due to the weather, which was AMAZING!!! As an outdoor photographer, I was checking consistently for rain. Next year, I plan on selecting just two dates for sessions. I realized the more dates available, the more blooming changes so quickly. So, be ready for two dates that consist of snowy white backdrops. Until then, I can't wait for another season!
